The Educational Quality Improvement Training Course:

Active teaching and Learning:

The Active teaching and Learning Course with the University of AMSTERDAM "EDUKANS " was one of the distinctive courses that I participated in. As this course the Active learning is a process that has student learning at its center. Active learning focuses on how students learn, not just on what they learn. Students are encouraged to ‘think hard’, rather than passively receive information from the teacher. So, Active learning Reinforces important material, concepts, and skills. ... Creates personal connections to the material for students, which increases their motivation to learn. Allows students to practice important skills, such as collaboration, through pair and group work.

With active learning, students play an important part in their own learning process. They build knowledge and understanding in response to opportunities provided by their teacher.

The mains topics its learned in this course with the University of AMSTERDAM "EDUKANS" we are found it in the following certificate:

Inter-agency Child Protection Case Management Coaching Program:

Child Protection Case Management:

The child protection case management course with UNHCR organization was one of the distinctive courses that I participated in, as this course is taken a full year every month, an important session in order to teach specialists all the aspects of psychological referrals, where several the topics were addressed are:

  1. Introduction to the Inter-agency Coaching Program.
  2. Alternative Care.
  3. Reporting for Juvenile Judges.
  4. Safety Planning and Referral.
  5. Self-Care.
  6. Supporting Street Connected Children.
  7. Remote Case Management and Case Planning.
  8. Case Management for Children with Disabilities with CP Concerns.
  9. Children Survivors of Sexual Abuse.

The course was very important and comprehensive as it laid the foundations for a social worker and specialist to work in the field with assignments safely. We have been provided with materials and tools that we must have when implementing what we have learned.

The Important of the 5Es Model

 5Es Model:

Is an important model to teach online lessons because it allows educators to create a unique learning experience for students. Teachers who can incorporate instructional models like the 5Es Model into their classrooms help students build a strong foundation of knowledge through active participation. To apply this model, we should apply five steps in a good way which are: engage, explore, explain, evaluate and elaborate. These steps motivate the students and enable them to understand the lesson in a good way, I have prepared in my work with SHAHD Association more than 30 effective educational videos in mathematics subject for grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 by using 5Es model. You can check that it’s in the YouTube. So, click on the channel link to see that, then gives your comments of those videos.

The Benefits of Advanced Methods of Teaching Math and Science "EDUC 557" Course:

EDUC 557:

I like this course because we have learned ten learning models which are: Direct Model, Concept Attainment Model, Concept Development Model, Inductive Model, Vocabulary Acquisition Model, Inquiry Model, Problem-Based Learning, Cooperative Learning Model, Integrative Model and Socratic Model. For each Model we saw an example lesson, from this examples we learned how to apply the models in a perfect way. So, it’s not good to use one model for all lessons since each lesson has unique model that you can use it.

The following video is an example of using a Direct Model to explain the Angular Bisector for grade 8, I used this model because the lesson is about procedure of drawing of Angular Bisector.

So, according to the above video we can apply the Direct Model if we have a steps or procedures in the lesson.

Experience with SHAHD Association:

I had started working with SHAHD association on 2016 after 6 months of volunteering. This association gave me a lot of experience because I underwent many trainings with international organization like: TDH -UNRWA - UNICEF - ITALY these trainings taught me how to enter the classroom with confidence and how to transact with students to identify the problems, it also gives materials about the deferent strategies. However, the important of these trainings was very helpful not only scientifically but also psychology because they educate us about psychologic problems suffered by students and how do we treat it especially that I am a Palestinian refugee who is living in a camp, and most of the students from the same environment, so that Palestinian students suffers from many psychological and financial problems, so that the importance was about how to tackle this dilemma.

These pictures shows my participation with my students in some educational and entertainment activities:

Moreover, after COVID-19 we had moved to online courses and in this period we had create a page on Facebook and YouTube, I made more than thirty effective videos about mathematics courses for grade 3,4,5 and 6

You can check that it’s in the YouTube. So, click on the Channel Link to see that, then gives your comments of those videos.

So that this association developed us on how to teach our students not only locally, but also globally.

The Benefits of Educational Media and Technology "EDUC 561" Course:

EDUC 561:

I am interested in learning this course because I have learned many technological tools for teaching the students remotely. This tools attract and motivate students, also it facilitates the education process for teacher and students. Examples of these and applications tools are: Padlet, Poll Everywhere, Google Jamboard, Mentimeter, Google Document, Google Slide, Google Form, Go Formative, Flipgrid, Kahoot, Web quest, Blog and Activeinspire. From these tools or applications that I loved its Blog. Because, in this blog I can write and post important topics in education, provide materials to the students and put an articles for the students. Then the students can read this post to benefit and comment on it. But in reality I used a lot of tools and application with my students.

Now, we can see a links of some lessons that prepare by using the above tools. these lessons are evaluated by Dr. Amal Farhat.
